I offer personal consulting and coaching services for writers in need of help in establishing goals, a sounding board, and/or feedback on work in progress.
An established writer myself, my own publications since the early 1970s have been in a variety of literary genres, including poetry, novels, non-fiction, memoirs and essays. I am an experienced and widely published book critic, having served as the primary poetry reviewer for the Los Angeles Times Book Review in the 1970s, and the go-to reviewer of books with a spiritual theme for the same newspaper in the 2000s. My literary reviews have also appeared regularly in the Huffington Post.
My services as a consultant for writers include:
- reading manuscripts
- offering honest critical response to work in progress
- meeting with aspiring writers to refine ideas for books
- dealing successfully with “writers’ block”
- goal setting and persistence
- career counseling
Having worked extensively with creative people in both individual and group sessions, I encourage writers of all kinds to contact me in pursuit of their goals.
I work both in person and, where necessary, on the telephone. Please feel free to contact me for further details and information about service fees.
